2005年のポスターThe festival in 2006 showed a big improvement from the previous festivals.

The new project team leader, Masaya Shimazaki, and other members had many volunteers from different countries. Those volunteers helped the event with making food, making ornaments, and performing on the stage. They also got sponsors from the local community in that year.

The event organizers invited "Uminari Taiko" from Victoria, and they put a Taiko performance at the theatre. It was the first time to have artists from Victoria at the festival. The students also added a Japanese Fashion show, J-pop music, along with the folk music and traditional dance performances.

The main venue was changed from Building 355 to the main cafeteria. The event maps, made by the students, were provided to the event comers and they enjoyed the food, snacks, magazines, and hands-on activities.
